Trying Out Prismacolour Pencils For The First Time!

If you're new to the world of colored pencils, you may be wondering which brand to try first. One of the most popular brands among artists is Prismacolor, known for their rich, vibrant colours and smooth application.

I’ve wanted to try them myself for the longest time after seeing all of my favourite YouTube artists rave about them.

I finally got to try Prismacolor pencils a try for the first time after spotting them in Target while on holiday in the US, and I have to say, I was impressed with the results! The colors were so bold and vivid, and the pencils themselves were easy to use and blend.

I started by colouring in some ink floral I had already drawn, using a few different shades to create depth and dimension. The Prismacolor pencils glided over the paper smoothly, without any scratchiness or skipping.

I then tried blending more shades together to mix my own shades and they even worked really well for that, adding in white was also perfect for turning the vibrant colours more pastel!
